Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question for one of our doctors? Want to know if it’s time for your next checkup or if we’ll accept your dental insurance? You’ll find answers to these questions and many more of the most common ones our patients ask us every day below.

Still have a question we haven’t answered? No problem-- just give us a call! We’re always willing to take extra time to make sure you completely understand your dental care.

How often should I visit my dentist?

According to our own dentists as well as the American Dental Association, patients of all ages should visit their dentist at least twice a year in order to keep their teeth healthy as well as prevent everyday dental problems such as tooth decay, cavities, gum disease, and more.

When should I schedule my child’s first dentist appointment?

We generally recommend bringing a child in around their first birthday. This will give us a chance to make sure their teeth are developing correctly as well as help you learn how to take care of your child’s new smile!

What is the best way to replace my missing teeth?

Compared to any other tooth replacement treatment, dental implants are the best one by far. They offer the one treatment that can literally rebuild your teeth from the root up, and this gives them the most secure, long-lasting, and natural-looking results possible. They can be used to replace any number of teeth and even support a full denture. When it comes to restoring your smile, dental implants are the best that dentistry has to offer. Plus, unlike most other local practices, we can actually handle the entire procedure in-house, saving you both time and money.

My gums are a bit red and swollen…can you help?

We can, and unlike most other practices, we won’t need a scalpel and sutures to do it! These are clear signs of gum disease, and in most cases, the infected tissue needs to be cleaned or removed, which can be very uncomfortable for a patient. At our practice, however, we can use a soft tissue laser to quickly and precisely treat your gums while causing you little to no discomfort.

I don’t like how my smile looks. What can you do about it?

We actually have an entire range of treatments specifically dedicated to enhancing the appearance of the smile. It’s called cosmetic dentistry, and you can explore your options here. No matter what your smile looks like now, we can make it absolutely stunning with just a few simple treatments.

Will you accept my insurance?

We are happy to accept all traditional dental insurance and PPO plans. We are also an in-network provider for many plans, and you can view a complete list here. No matter which plan you have, we’ll file the claim, handle all the paperwork, and do whatever we can to maximize your benefits.

Which forms of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, credit, checks, and you can also pay using our convenient and safe online portal. With it, you can check your balance as well as make a payment with just a few clicks.
